Industrial Heritage
Since the great stages of deindustrialisation, a new interest for industrial heritage has been surfacing. The development of the industrial archaeology and the awareness of the importance of the environment seem to promote new approaches of this very specific heritage. This takes place in the framework of a more global approach of the history of historical buildings that are listed as heritage and should thus be protected and passed on. These traces of industrial history transform into heritage.
